About this game

Play Pilėnai free online — a medieval city builder and strategy game like Stronghold and Travian, no download and no signup. Build a town on a hex island, feed and tax your people, research new trades, then raise an army, sail to sack bandit camps and outwit six rival lords through diplomacy or war. Your town keeps working while you are away, and your progress saves to your account. Play in English or Lithuanian, on desktop or phone.

How to play Pilėnai

Pilėnai is a medieval city builder in the spirit of Stronghold and Travian. You start with a town hall on a hex island and grow it into a realm that trades, researches and goes to war.

Controls

Pick a building on the left, then tap a tile to place it. Tap a building to see its workers, output and upgrades. Drag to pan the map and scroll or pinch to zoom. The World button opens the sea map, where you tap islands to raid, settle or deal with other lords.

Your town

Every citizen eats one unit of food a minute. Start with a woodcutter beside the forest and an orchard or fisher, then build houses as people arrive. Popularity decides whether people move in (above 50) or leave (below 50): rations, food variety, clothes and churches raise it, taxes lower it. The advisor on the right always tells you what is going wrong.

Research and war

A scriptorium gathers lore, which unlocks farms and bread, the market, the smithy and barracks, walls and the harbour. From 40 people bandits start raiding, so recruit soldiers, man your towers and close a ring of walls with a gate.

Tips

Watch each lord's reaction to flattery, gifts and attacks to work out their character, then ally with the useful ones. When your realm has grown, found a new dynasty to earn glory: a permanent bonus for every future reign, and the basis of your leaderboard score.
